At regular intervals throughout the day coaches would disgorge Japanese tourists below my window. They would photograph each other standing in front of the RAH and the Prince Albert Memorial, across the road. It struck me that none of them really had or took the time to really look at the place they were visiting; they were all so occupied taking photographs.<br /><br />There's a wonderful scene in the film Lost in Transaltion where the girl goes off by herself on a train to visit a temple.
